  THE CHANGES THAT HAPPEN IN OUR LIVING ENVIRONMENT SELDOM DEPEND ON US. THEY OCCUR EVERYWHERE, AND MOST OF THEM ARE INEVITABLE AND CAN NOT BE AVOIDED. CHANGES IN TERMS OF :INTRODUCING COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY IN THE LEARNING –TEACHING PROCESS, OR IN OTHER WORDS COMPUTER FOR EVERY STUDENT, ARE JUST PART OF EVERYDAY MODERN LIFE. WHEN THE CHANGE HAPPENS, BOTH STUDENTS AND TEACHERS CAN RESPOND IN TWO POSSIBLE WAYS. ONE OF THEM IS PASSIVE: TO ACCEPT THE CHANGES AND ENDURE THE CONSEQUENCES, AND THE OTHER ONE IS ACTIVE: TO FACE/ENCOUNTER THE CHANGE AND TAKE ACTIVE PART IN IT. THE REAL TEACHER RESPONDS IN THE SECOND WAY. HOWEVER, FOR THE CHANGES TO BE SUCCESSFUL, THEY SHOULD BE ACCEPTED BY EVERYONE, OTHERWISE, THEY WOULD BE A FAILURE.

To discuss the change in the very sense of the word, it should be:
visible
relatively endurable and
to be treated with significant importance by greater percentage of teachers.

Introducing computer technology in the learning –teaching process imposed serious changes in the learning – teaching process, regarding both the forms and methods of teaching as well as the way of evaluating and assessing the students’ results and achievements. Computer technology has given students opportunities:
to use different sources of information, which is later selected and upgraded, enabling students independently to get access to required information and data
to share and exchange ideas with peers
to learn different skills from on-line courses
to increase their knowledge of English .
for innovation and creativity in the field of learning- teaching methods

Due to this technology, there have been long-lasting changes in the students’ knowledge, changes in their attitudes as well as changes in terms of their individual behaviour.

Teachers also benefit from the new technology. It helps them:
to combine more teaching models within the lesson activity such as: visual, auditory and kinesthetic.
to adjust the highly variable learning techniques and methods to the changeable way of living.
to share and exchange their teaching experience with colleagues from all over the world.

Thus, in such learning climate and activities, the teacher is becoming a mentor, instructor and a mediator, providing significant help and support for students in searching web pages.
